So I was desperate to find more reliable and steady relief that wouldn't also destroy what's left of my knees.Enter Manitoba Harvest Hemp Oil! It's one component of a combination of supplements I take to get decent relief from arthritis pain. I take 3 capsules at a time, usually in the morning, along with Health Delights Turmeric Chews (1 to 2 of those at the same time), and the relief is fairly quick and lasts all day. It works even better if I also eat something with black pepper on it, like eggs or something else I can put pepper on, because it helps your body absorb the turmeric. I find the two supplements in combination work better than either by themselves and these particular brands to be better or just as good as more expensive alternatives. Manitoba's Hemp Oil, for example, is easy to swallow in gel capsule form, has no taste or aftertaste going down (although they are rather large and you do have to take more than one), are inexpensive compared to CBD oil, and just as effective. I've also taken various brands of liquid hemp oil by mouth by itself and the heavy plant taste can be off putting. Plus the oil, once opened, can expire very quickly. Liquid CBD Oil has a much milder taste, you don't have to take as much, but is also very expensive.I find the turmeric chews to be better and more bioavailable than more expensive powdered turmeric in capsule or raw powder form, even if the powdered forms already contain black pepper. The chews are like eating real food, which your body prefers to get its vitamins from, and the relief is quick and long lasting. I once tried a very expensive capsule form, which also contained ginger and black pepper, from a brand of supplements I like a lot that you could only get from one of the TV shopping networks, but it wasn't nearly as effective and upset my stomach. I was in a vitamin store that was giving out free samples of these chews when they were first released to the public (Health Delights has a whole series of supplements in chew form, including B-12 and probiotics) and the turmeric was one of the ones that I tried. I felt amazing for the rest of the day after trying just one, but these are rather pricey at $20 per bag. I bought a bag and confirmed that yes, it was this particular form of turmeric that worked (and not necessarily in combination with any of the other sample chews I took that day). So to me, the price is well worth it because these worked, especially in combination with the hemp oil. Garden of Life has also come out recently with a series of CBD oil gel capsules either by itself or in combination with other supplements, one being turmeric and black pepper. The capsules are much smaller and I only need to take one, but the price can be north of $40 per bottle of about 30 capsules. By itself, it does give me some relief, but I find it works better if I take it with the Manitoba Hemp Oil and turmeric chews, if for no other reason than it already contains the black pepper. I also take the three supplements together when the weather is colder and my knees are particularly susceptible to the temperature change. In milder weather, the Manitoba Hemp Oil and turmeric chews are enough. All-in-all, this combination is far cheaper, just as effective, and a lot safer than cortisone shots or prescription pain meds. Eventually, I plan to try stem cell therapy to help rebuild knee cartilage, but in the meantime, these supplements are very effective and way better than glucosamine and chondroitin.

I have been using the hemp oil 4/10 months now no more pain pills no more hydrocodone no more same pills of any kind the hydrocodone hydrocodone I saw it was doing a good job but I now know that they hemp oil there's about a hundred times better hello it does take longer to take effect but the pain relief is so much greater that the wait for it to take effect is worth it I will continue to use this. I love this brand, I have been suffering from flare up anxiety for years. With my depression and PTSD/dissociation episodes it felt like I couldn't live life anymore. Wow, I was going to hold off on a review until at least a week but I am so ecstatic I could cry. I have been suffering with immense pain in my sacral bone and my L6 (yes, I have an extra vertebrae) and have barely been able to stand for more than 5 minutes at a time and walking long distance is definitely out of the question. The longer I stand normally, the more hunched over I become. I wanted to try this out when my mother got a bottle and told me it was helping with her arthritis. I only take one capsule a day in the morning and I've been taking them for about a month now. So while I consider myself a physically healthy person, I struggle with depression and anxiety, I have mild anemia, and I'm prone to bad headaches and migraines. I have given this more than a fair try and can say that it is fantastic. The first few days I thought that it might be just a mind over matter thing, but it has turned out to be something amazing. Long, many years, story short, the prescription drugs that had worked only slightly, no matter how many I took in a very short period of time (just put me to sleep, they did), I am now no longer taking. OMG. I have been in pain for about two years following an injury at work. Pain pills (prescription and OTC) have done very little to help me. I started getting concerned about what all that was doing to my body so started researching natural alternatives. I also started hearing great things about hemp and cbd oil. After trying other brands with little results, I went ahead and tried these. All I can say is WOW! I took one as soon as they came and my pain disappeared. The only thing I didn't like was it made me hyperactive and I had trouble going to sleep that night. Maybe I am just weird or maybe not being in constant pain helped getting my energy back. Definitely worth a try if you're looking for a natural alternative to pharmaceuticals. If you're scared to take such a high dose all at once, you can pierce a pill with a pin and squirt it into a dropper bottle and dilute it with another hemp oil product of your liking. I have one prepared for use when I need a little boost but not a whole pill since they tend to keep me awake if I take them to close to bed time.

I tried taking the actual oil first and just couldn't do it...It was just too thick and, well, oilley. But these capsules started helping me within 2 days. I'm rather skeptical when it comes to supplements since they aren't regulated, but I'm in so much pain that even high dose Percocet often can't offset it. Last night I tried an experiment to see if the hemp seed caps were really working or if my desperation for relief had tricked my brain into believing that they . 2 hours before bedtime I cut my last Perc dose in half turned on a interesting Netflix series and vegged out. Let me say here that 1) I don't usually sleep very long (it sucks when pain wakes you up, huh?) 2) I don't take any kind of sleep meds by prescription or over the counter because I have sleep apnea, and I can't stand a CPAP blowing into my face because it feels like I can't catch my breath). When I turned off the TV to go to sleep, I wasn't hurting at all, and 6.5 hours later (3 times later than normal on a full Percocet) I woke in a good mood and the only thing bothering me was a low dull ache in my hips. I took my morning meds ( full Percocet, Lyrica and Flexeril) and 3 hemp seed caps (as directed on the bottle). That was about 30 minutes ago, and my hip pain is easing down nicely. I've been treated with opiates for pain management since 2001 so it's not surprising that they don't work as well as they did when first prescribed. It's been years since I've felt the "buzz" or "feeling of well-being" that cause so many people to abuse and/or overdose on them though I absolutely understand and sympathize with anyone who's dealing with opiate dependency/addiction. Someone recommended hemp oil / hemp seeds / hemp products for joint pain, and while I'm certain going back to nature is a better decision overall, I usually remain very skeptical of all-natural-everything*. This, however, really does help me with my knee and hip pain, and if I forget to take it for a few days, I really notice the difference. I take 3 capsules in the morning on a mostly-empty stomach (coffee with some cream) and don't get an upset stomach or any other noticeable side effects. So for this item, in regard to low joint pain and inflammation? I'd say it's worth giving it a shot. It took me about a week or so to first notice a difference, but it beats popping Advil several times a week (or day, if it's a bad day).* Yes, I have a cabinet full of essential oils, coconut oil, organic products, etc. But I also take daily prescription medications and find that however clean vinegar and tea tree oil may leave the house, they stink mightily and I'd prefer a dilute bleach solution after putting raw meat on the cutting board during dinner preparations. With careful testing, I am pleased to say these are excellent sleeping aids. The well known affect of the CBD contents worked well and I can see how this works for kids that have seizures. I am 72 year old, in good shape, 5' 11" and 175 lbs. Taking one pill, my restless legs and feet stopped moving around after 15 minutes and about 5 minutes later I was comfortably asleep. My biggest concern was that I did NOT want to wake-up in a "fog" or drug hangover. No Problem. I felt fine. An unknown mail order product that surpassed my expectation!! The only issues are that the pills are on the large size and my wife could never swallow them.

I would recommend talking to our doctor before trying it simply because there are small side effects such as lowering how quickly your body metabolizes medication, but it is absolutely worth a shot!
